CDRCK's First Annual Dog Dash & Cat Walk will take place Sunday, June 23, 2019 in Arlington's gorgeous Bluemont Park. The #CDRCK5k is for runners, walkers, and their dogs and cats! Join us, local animal lovers, and several other nonprofits to meet, celebrate, and raise funds for a deserving cause.

We thought it might be fun to spark some competition—we know how competitive you all are—so you'll be asked to join either "Team City Dogs" or "Team City Kitties." Let's see who can get the most registrations and funds raised! (Fundraising continues through July 21, 2019.)
The event features a professional pre-race warm-up & stretch, a professional announcer, live DJ, one of a kind CDRCK event gear, and just an amazing time with friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and other generous action-takers like you!

City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that rescues dogs and cats from overcrowded and high-kill shelters and adopts them out in the DC metro area. Since its establishment in 2011, City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties has saved more than 5,000 dogs and cats! We have gained a strong community of volunteers along the way.
In Washington City Paper's Readers' Poll for the last five years (2015-2019), City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties was voted Best Non-Profit. We also were voted "Best Place to Volunteer" in 2018 and "Best Charity Event" in 2019. The Catalogue for Philanthropy recognizes City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties as one of the top charities in greater Washington based on its impact, financial viability, and transparency.
